How InfoRemover works and what to expect after starting your subscription.
How It Works
1. We Start Scanning Immediately.
When you sign up for InfoRemover, we begin scanning more than 190 websites to locate full and partial profiles containing your data.
You will be asked to provide your name and any aliases you're known by, as well as to confirm some basic information about yourself so that we know we're working to remove the correct data from the internet.
2. We Scour the Web for Your Data
If you're like most Americans, we'll discover that profiles containing your personal information exist on anywhere from a few dozen to more than 100 separate websites.
As we scan for and locate these profiles, we submit requests for their permanent removal.
3. Site by Site, We Get Your Personal Data Deleted, Helping to Protect Your Privacy.
Every website we deal with has unique requirements for the removal of data and profiles.
No matter the requirements, we fulfill them for more than 190 different websites.
For some, removal is fairly immediate. Others may take 2-3 weeks or longer.
We track removal from every website, and show you the progress being made in real-time.
4. We Keep You Informed at Every Step.
As we locate and remove profiles containing your personal and private information, we'll update you through your personal dashboard, which allows you to see exactly how many sites contain your personal information, and where each one is at in our process of removal.
5. We Continually Monitor Your Online Presence and Privacy.
Since data equals dollars to data brokers, many of them are quick to rebuild profiles on people if they receive new crumbs (or pieces) of information about them.
This can occur if a data broker purchases or finds new data sets from any of about 25 different sources.
Over time, these seemingly disrelated data points can eventually become a complete profile.
Thus, we continue to monitor any new profiles that may be being built with your data, and we fulfill the requirements for its removal.
